On March 14, 2000, the parties appeared at the appointed time and place for hearing in this matter. No hearing was held, because the parties, with assistance from the Administrative Law Judge, came to an agreement that makes an administrative hearing unnecessary. The parties agreed verbally on the record to the following settlement terms: Respondent agreed to pay Complainant $700 by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2000. In exchange, Complainant agreed to drop the complaint when the $700 is received. This tribunal informed the parties that the record would be held open until 5:00 p.m. on March 17. Complainant also agreed to fax this tribunal a letter acknowledging receipt of the $700 and his withdrawal of the complaint. On March 17, 2000, Complainant filed a letter stating that the $700 has been received and the complaint is withdrawn.

Based on the parties’ agreement and their compliance with its terms, IT IS RECOMMENDED that the Registrar of Contractors close this complaint with no further action.
