ORDER DENYING CONTINUANCE

On June 3, 2026, Counsel for Respondent filed a Motion to Continue June 12, 2026 Hearing for the reason, “[u]ndersigned counsel has a longstanding personal matter scheduled at that time. Counsel will be out of the country and without internet from June 10–21, 2026.”

This matter was originally scheduled for hearing on May 5, 2026. However, on April 29, 2026, Counsel filed a Motion to Continue the May 5, 2026 hearing date due to a conflict. On May 4, 2026, the Motion was granted, and the Order Granting Continuance was emailed to Counsel and the parties on that same date. Therefore, Counsel has been aware of the continued hearing date of June 12, 2026, since May 4, 2026, yet Counsel waited an entire month, until June 3, 2026, to file a Motion to Continue notwithstanding having “a longstanding personal matter scheduled at that time.” Knowing of the continued hearing date and the “longstanding” conflict, Counsel should have filed a Motion to Continue immediately upon receipt of the May 4, 2026 Order to avoid a lengthy delay in setting another continued hearing date.

Upon review and consideration, the Motion to Continue is DENIED. The matter remains scheduled for June 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., and will be conducted either by video conferencing or telephone participation through Google Meet as follows:
