IN THE OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATIVE HEARINGS

JANE M. LEGACY,

Appellant,

v.

ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION,

Respondent.

No. 26F-001-ADM

ORDER CONVERTING MAY 26. 2026

HEARING TO A PREHEARING

CONFERENCE

Pending before the Office of Administrative Hearings is the Arizona Department of Administration’s (“Department”) May 15, 2026 Motion for Prehearing Conference. The Department states in its Motion that it appears “Appellant is not clear on who has what particular responsibility in this matter. Undersigned counsel has reiterated to Appellant that she has an ethical obligation to represent the interests of the Department in this matter and cannot act contrary to that duty.” The Motion further states that “[i]n this instance, undersigned counsel believes that such a conference may be helpful to ensure that the parties 1) are fully aware of the court’s expectations; 2) to clarify who has what responsibility going forward; and 3) explain the duties and obligations of undersigned counsel in their representation of the Department and how that limits undersigned counsel’s ability to follow Appellant’s directives.”

Due to the fact that the undersigned has been out of the office on leave, there has not been an opportunity to schedule the requested prehearing conference prior to the scheduled hearing. However, in light of the Department’s request, and good cause appearing,

IT IS ORDERED CONVERTING the May 26, 2026 hearing at 9:00 a.m., to a prehearing conference. The parties shall use the Google Meet information previously provided to participate in the prehearing conference:
