A prehearing conference in this matter convened on May 26, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Appellant Jane Legacy appeared on her own behalf. Assistant Attorney General Pam Peiser represented Respondent Arizona Department of Administration (“Department”). The parties were advised that Dr. Legacy bears the burden of proof in this matter to establish by a preponderance of the evidence that the Department’s decision to deny the

retiree accumulated sick leave (“RASL”) payroll benefit was contrary to law. The parties further discussed a mutually convenient date for the setting of the continued hearing.

In accordance with the parties’ respective availability, and good cause appearing, the hearing in the above-entitled matter is continued to July 13, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., and will be conducted either by video conferencing or telephone participation through Google Meet as follows:
