A hearing on the merits was scheduled for October 6, 2025.

Jeffery Weaks and the counsel for the Arizona Department of Public Safety – Student Transportation discussed the dispute before going on the record. After approximately 15 minutes, the parties informed the Administrative Law Judge

that they had reached a settlement and the Department’s counsel orally moved to vacate the hearing.

Therefore,

IT IS ORDERED vacating the hearing on the merits that had been scheduled for October 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED remanding this matter under A.A.C.

R2-19-111(4) to the Director of the Department for further action.
