MINUTE ENTRY - GRANTING CONTINUANCE

This matter was set for a prehearing conference to convene at 1:00 p.m. on August 8, 2023. Appellant Nora Bermudez did not appear at the prehearing conference. Based on prior communications from Appellant to counsel for the Secretary of State, it appears Appellant may wish to withdraw her appeal in this matter. However, it is also possible Appellant may need additional time to prepare for the hearing and wishes to proceed at a later date.

Accordingly the hearing in the above-entitled matter is continued and set for a Status Update on September 15, 2023. On or before this date, Appellant is advised to do one of the following:

(1) Inform the tribunal that she wishes to withdraw her appeal by submitting a Motion to Vacate the hearing; or

(2) Inform the tribunal that she wishes to proceed with the hearing at a later date and include possible dates of availability 30 to 60 days from the date of the filing.

If Appellant fails to submit a status update by September 15, 2023, the Administrative Law Judge will conclude that Appellant wishes to withdraw her appeal and the hearing will be vacated.
