ORDER GRANTING CONTINUANCE

AND SETTING STATUS DATE

The hearing of this matter was scheduled to convene on December 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. On the date and at the time set for hearing, Steven Gross, Esq. represented Complainant Melanie Thompson, who was present with her husband, David Thompson. Scott Neal appeared on behalf of Respondent U.S. Vets Construction Company, Inc. Arizona Registrar of Contractors Investigator Jeremy Rosenthal appeared as a witness.

The matter proceeded to a full hearing on the merits after the parties were provided an opportunity to attempt to resolve the matter amongst themselves. Prior to closing arguments, the parties requested a further opportunity to resolve the matter. A recess was taken in order for the parties to speak further regarding a potential resolution.

Thereafter, the parties advised the Tribunal that they had entered into a settlement agreement. However, the parties requested that they be permitted to provide closing arguments and that in the event the resolution is not successful, the Administrative Law Judge issue a Decision based upon the evidence presented at hearing. The request was granted.

Therefore, good cause appearing, the hearing in the above-entitled matter is continued and set for a written Status Update on January 9, 2026. On or before this date, Complainant, through counsel, is advised to do one of the following:

Inform the Tribunal that the matter has been satisfactorily resolved by submitting a Motion to Vacate the hearing;

Inform the Tribunal that the parties need additional time to resolve the matter by submitting a Motion to Continue and reset for Status by 30-days, 45-days, or 60-days; or

Inform the Tribunal that the parties are unable to resolve their dispute and request that a Decision issue based upon the evidence presented at the hearing.
