ORDER GRANTING CONTINUANCE

A hearing in the above-entitled matter convened at 9:00 a.m. on May 7, 2025. Complainant did not appear at the hearing. Miguel Padilla appeared on behalf of Respondent.

At the start of the hearing, Investigator John Smith of the Registrar of Contractors notified the Administrative Law Judge that Complainant sent an e-mail to the Registrar requesting another hearing date because Complainant was traveling. However, the Office of Administrative Hearings did not receive a motion to continue the hearing date from Complainant. Therefore,

IT IS ORDERED that the above-entitled matter is set for a status update, no later than May 20, 2025.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that if Complainant desires to continue the hearing date, Complainant must submit a motion for a continuance, pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code R2-19-106 (B) and (C), no later than May 20, 2025. Complainant may submit the motion electronically via OAH’s website at www.azoah.com (“Motions/File Documents”). Complainant must also send a copy of its motion to Respondent pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code R2-19-108 (E).

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that if Complainant fails to submit the motion by May 20, 2025, the Administrative Law Judge will vacate the hearing and recommend that the Registrar dismiss the above-entitled matter.
