Karen Elaine Orton,
COMPLAINANT,
v.
Elite Rooter Phoenix, Inc.
DBA: Elite Rooter
License No. ROC 316232,
RESPONDENT.
No. 2024A-07593-CHC-ROC
ORDER GRANTING CONTINUANCE
AND SETTING STATUS DATE
The hearing of this matter was scheduled to convene on January 24, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. On the date and time set for hearing, Complainant Karen Elaine Orton appeared on her own behalf with her son, Ryan Orton. Alice Olivas appeared on behalf of Respondent Elite Rooter Phoenix, Inc., doing business as Elite Rooter. Arizona Registrar of Contractors Investigator Steven Avila appeared as a witness.
The parties participated in a prehearing discussion outside of the presence of the Administrative Law Judge. Following that discussion, the parties requested that the hearing be continued and the matter set for a Status Update in order to afford the parties a further opportunity to resolve the matter in dispute. Finding good cause, the request was granted.
Therefore, the hearing in the above-entitled matter is continued and set for a written Status Update on February 14, 2025. On or before this date, Ms. Orton is advised to do one of the following:
Inform the Tribunal that the matter has been satisfactorily resolved by submitting a Motion to Vacate the hearing;
Inform the Tribunal that the parties need additional time to resolve the matter by submitting a Motion to Continue and reset for Status by 30-days, 45-days, or 60-days; or
Inform the Tribunal that the parties are unable to resolve their dispute and request that the matter be set for hearing.
Done this day, January 24, 2025.
