COMPLAINANT, ORDER RE: NOTICE OF BANKRUPTCY FILING v.

Southern Arizona Structures, LLC License No. ROC 289023 & 309129,

RESPONDENT.

On January 28, 2026, Southern Arizona Structures, LLC (“Respondent”) filed with the Office of Administrative Hearings a Notice of Bankruptcy Filing that indicated Respondent “filed a Voluntary Petition for relief under Chapter 7 of the United States Bankruptcy Code on January 27, 2026, in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona, assigned case number 2:26-bk-00752,” and that the automatic stay of 11 U.S.C. § 362 is in effect. On February 2, 2026, Complainant Jaime S. Mayol filed a Notice of Authority that Respondent’s Bankruptcy Does Not Stay Proceedings by the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, asserting that this proceeding is not affected by the automatic stay and cites legal authority for such position. The parties are advised that the automatic stay does not apply to disciplinary actions by the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. The matter before this Tribunal is disciplinary in nature and therefore, does not violate the automatic stay. The matter will proceed to hearing as scheduled.
