IN THE OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATIVE HEARINGS
Arizona Registrar of Contractors,
COMPLAINANT,
v.
Scott Brown Gschwend,
RESPONDENT.
No. 2024A-02735-CPA-ROC
ORDER GRANTING CONTINUANCE
AND SETTING STATUS DATE
The hearing of this matter was scheduled to convene on July 15, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. On the date and time set for hearing, Assistant Attorney General Charles Hover III represented the Arizona Registrar of Contractors (“Registrar”). Assistant Chief Alex Figueroa and Investigator Barry Maerker were also present. Respondent Scott Brown Gschwend appeared on his own behalf. The parties participated in a pre-hearing discussion outside of the presence of the Administrative Law Judge. Following that discussion, the parties requested that the hearing be continued and the matter set for a status date in order to afford the parties an opportunity to resolve the matter.
Therefore, good cause appearing, the hearing in the above-entitled matter is continued and set for a Status Update on September 16, 2024. On or before this date, the Registrar, though counsel, is advised to do one of the following:
Inform the Tribunal that the matter has been satisfactorily resolved by submitting a Motion to Vacate the hearing;
Inform the Tribunal that the parties need additional time to resolve the matter by submitting a Motion to Continue and reset for Status by 30-days, 45-days, or 60-days; or
Inform the Tribunal that the parties are unable to resolve their dispute and request that the matter be set for hearing.
Done this day, July 15, 2024.
