ORDER GRANTING CONTINUANCE

AND SETTING STATUS DATE

The hearing of this matter convened on August 22, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. Brittney K. Walsh, Esq. represented Complainant Jackie Schwane, who was present with her husband, Leland Schwane. Taschia Salas and Victor Salas appeared on behalf of Respondent Tavas, LLC. Registrar of Contractors Investigator Cliff Corlett appeared as a witness.

Prior to the commencement of the hearing, and then again after opening statements, the parties participated in settlement discussions outside of the presence of the Administrative Law Judge. As a result of those discussions, the parties entered into a settlement agreement, however, needed additional time in which to execute the terms of their agreement.

Therefore, good cause appearing, the hearing in the above-entitled matter is continued and set for a written Status Update on October 31, 2024. On or before this date, Counsel for Complainant is advised to do one of the following:

Inform the Tribunal that the matter has been satisfactorily resolved by submitting a Motion to Vacate the hearing;

Inform the Tribunal that the parties need additional time to resolve the matter by submitting a Motion to Continue and reset for Status by 30-days, 45-days, or 60-days; or

Inform the Tribunal that the parties are unable to resolve their dispute and request that the matter be set for hearing.
