COMPLAINANT,
v.
Desert Sun Customs & Restoration LLC
License No. ROC 240872,
RESPONDENT.
No. 2023A-00329-RFA-LS-ROC
ORDER DENYING CONTINUANCE
A hearing in the above-entitled matter is set to convene on July 3, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. through Google Meet (the parties may also appear by telephone).
On June 27, 2025, Respondent filed a motion to continue the hearing date because, “My birthday is July 1st and the 4th of July, im taking my children out of town for there.”
On June 30, 2025, Complainant filed an objection stating, “I absolutely do. Mr. Conrad emailed when he received the notice, mentioning that he had a conflict but did not file this motion until the last minute. He is simply trying to delay this proceeding and is not providing adequate notice of his conflict. I am also on vacation this week but will be on the call. He has no bases to be appeal the decision and stop me from collecting. He has put my family put tremendous economic and emotional hardship and this has gone on long enough. Thank you!”
The Arizona Registrar of Contractors does not object to Respondent’s motion.
On July 2, 2025, the Administrative Law Judge denied the motion for lack of good cause. On July 2, 2025, Respondent filed a second motion to continue the hearing date because, “Im out of town for the week... can we please do next week... I've already stated this..”
Having reviewed the motions and the response,
IT IS ORDERED denying the motion to continue the hearing date because
Respondent has not established good cause for the late filing pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code R2-19-106 (C). The matter remains scheduled for July 3, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. through Google Meet.
Done this day: July 2, 2025.
