Vacate: Settlement Recommendation

IN THE OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATIVE HEARINGS

Pursuant to the Notice of Hearing issued by the Registrar of Contractors, this matter came on for hearing on February 4, 2011, before the Office of Administrative Hearings, an independent agency. Don Filliater appeared personally. Van Hees Stone Works, L.L.C. was represented by its authorized representative, Werner Van Hees. After the commencement of the hearing, but prior to its conclusion, the parties reached a settlement agreement, which was read into the record. Respondent agreed to go to Complainant’s residence with a properly licensed contractor to provide structural support for the granite countertop on Complainant’s barbeque and to have the necessary work completed within 15 days. Complainant agreed to that arrangement. In view of the foregoing, IT IS ORDERED that the hearing be vacated and that this matter be remanded to the Registrar of Contractors for further action.
