On July 10, 2019, the Arizona Board of Technical Registration’s (“the Board’s”) attorney moved to continue the hearing on the merits because the parties had reached a settlement in principle. The Administrative Law Judge (“ALJ”) continued the hearing to a status conference on July 25, 2019. On July 18, 2019, the Board’s attorney moved to continue the status conference because he would be out of the office. The ALJ continued the status conference to July 30, 2019, this date, at 4:00 p.m. On July 23, 2019, Troy Bashford (“Respondent”) filed a Notice of Substitution of Counsel, informing the tribunal that he would represent himself pro per. On this date, staff at the Office of Administrative Hearings (“OAH”) attempted to contact the Board’s attorney at his telephone number of record and Respondent at the telephone number on the Notice of Substitution of Counsel to ascertain the status of the parties’ settlement. Neither the Board’s attorney nor Respondent answered OAH’s telephone call. Therefore, because if appears that the parties have resolved their dispute, IT IS ORDERED holding the record open in this matter until August 5, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. If neither party provides an update requesting a hearing on the merits or a continued status conference by that time, the ALJ will remand this matter to the Board pursuant to A.A.C. R2-19-111(4). Done this day, July 30, 2019.
