IN THE OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATIVE HEARINGS

On July 23, 2003, the hearing of this matter convened to address the Registrar of Contractors’ denial of Applicant Bjorn Leif Borgen/Viking Pump Service’s application for a contractor’s license. Attorneys John Marcolini and Richard Goldberg represented Applicant Bjorn Leif Borgen/Viking Pump Service. Assistant Attorney General Patti Shelton represented the Registrar of Contractors. Alan Felber also appeared on behalf of the Registrar of Contractors. During the course of the hearing, the parties discussed the issues in dispute, and thereafter reached a resolution of the matter. The Registrar of Contractors has agreed to issue a contractor’s license to Bjorn Leif Borgen/Viking Pump Service conditioned upon the following: 1) the license being placed on probation for a period of two years from the date of its issuance, and 2) a bond increase of $1,000.00 for the residential license and $1,000.00 for the commercial license, for a total bond increase in the amount of $2,000.00. Bjorn Leif Borgen/Viking Pump Service has agreed to accept a contractor’s license with the aforementioned conditions placed upon it. In view of the foregoing, it is recommended that the Director of the Registrar of Contractors adopt the above described settlement of the parties.
